PROFESSIONAL DESIGN EXPERIENCE
I have designed and developed furniture for production, as well as one-of-a-kind pieces for individual clients. I have won two Institute of Business Design (IBD) awards and am represented in the permanent collection of the Cranbrook Museum of Art. My work has been published internationally and exhibited in New York, Chicago, Tokyo, Minneapolis, and in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. I have managed my own industrial design studio for 45 years. During this time, I have gained extensive experience in the business of design.

Client relations: Established and maintained ongoing relations with manufacturers, architects, designers, and individual clients.

Business and legal aspects of design, including market research, accounting, budgeting, and generating contractual agreements.

Conceptual and developmental phases of design, i.e., taking initial concepts into scale models and full-size working prototypes.

Project management: Working with internal engineering and production staff, as well as vendors, to ready prototypes for production.
