In 2014, Dan Cramer and Mark Larson had their collaborative series of furniture pieces exhibitedat the prestigeous gallery of original furniture in New York City, Pritam & Eames. The collaboration between Larson and Cramer began in 2011 when they met through friends in Mexico where Larson lives and works each winter. Cramer trained as a cabinetmaker before attending Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan where he studied design. Larson has a BA and MFA in studio art and art history. “We think the work of these two Minnesotans is a fresh look at furniture. This is not simply painted furniture, but rather paintings on furniture.”
